Gorakh Hill - The Murree of Sindh

In the hot and humid weather of Sindh, its residents crave for an escape. What better place to go to than the chilly hill station of Gorakh? Situated around 40 kilometers from Dadu, Gorakh Hill aligns you to the clouds and to a feeling of serenity.

Upon reaching Dadu, you leave your car behind and continue the rest of your journey via jeep. An extremely dangerous and life-threatening route, without barriers nor paved routes, the journey is compensated by the destination. You arrive at the hill station which is 2000 feet above sea level and with your head above clouds, you ask yourself, “Is this what heaven looks like?” A small rest house provides you shelter where you pitch your tent and get ready for the bustling night life to begin. Movies are screened across the bonfire which is followed by live music. Barbecue and biryani is served to you while you eat roasted peanuts and sing alongside the campfire. A surreal experience, with people from all forms of life being welcoming and hospitable to you. After dinner, you are served with tea and cigarettes while you play cards with your friends in 10 C weather. Life is indeed amazing.
